So my 6 month old speckled sussex laid a very small egg the other day but nothing for 2-3 days now. How often should she lay once she lays the first one? I'm not sure if it was her very first one since i just got her 1 week ago. It was vry small though, like an oval shaped golf ball.

So my speckled sussex just laid an egg...do they usually lay small eggs? Or do they all just start out laying small eggs and they lay bigger eggs in time? Here's a photo of this morning's egg next to a large egg from costco.
