    OMG LOL That is terrible! I just wanted to add that if you are ever in a bind, there is a home remedy you can use as well :-) "honey, tea tree oil & blue food coloring" it works great!

    Thank you! Unfortunately I can't do that because I have a naughty dog ;) but I do agree that wire cage is way too small for the 14 chicks. I only had them in there for about an hour. I currently have them in the house. They're brooder is 4' x 5' & 3' high. We have to finish the larger chicken...

    Thank you so much! After I put them out there I was doubting myself. They are so much smaller than the other chicks. Today was the 5 week olds first day outside. I don't plan on them staying out overght until they are 6 weeks. They'll also have a heat lamp in their coop at night. Our days lately...

    rooster or pullet?

    Wow! Thanks so much everyone!! I'm happy she is a she lol! I have 14, 5 week chicks in the house about to move outside. I'm excited I get to keep one of the baby roosters :-) thank you all for feed back! I think I'll keep her name "geronimo" lol it suits her.

    rooster or pullet?

    Hello, I thought this was a rooster but now I'm not sure. My chickens are 19 weeks old. He/She is an Ameraucana mix (the white one). What do you chicken experts think??? :/ :)

    Eye pecked

    This happened to one of my chicks recently. I bought some eye drops (saline solution) & put a warm compress on it's eye. For about a minute. Then 1-2 drops in the eye. Do this twice a day. She opened her eye in 7 days & can see perfectly!
