Hello All-
I have 4 females and 1 male and my male is chasing away only one of my females but allows the other 3 to be around.
Back Story: I had 3 females and one male that got along fine. The girls were happy and only called out when something scared them. I have call ducks so they are little...
We live in a urban area of northern CA and had 3 call ducks. My females are small, about a pound. Sometime last night or early this morning something killed one of my girls. My mail was calling for her all morning so I went out to investigate what was upsetting him. There were just a few short...
Hello, I am looking to add a pair of calls to my flock and am having a heck of a time finding breeders in Northern CA. I only want two or three so shipping is probably not the best option. My son would LOVE at least one white.
Hello all! I am looking gor bantam ducks and am having a difficult time finding places that sell bantam ducklings. Would love something a bit quieter then calls but still small in size. I am located in Orangevale CA (northern CA). Thanks!
We purchased 3 bantam Cohen chicks a few days ago from (what I was told was a reputable) breeder. I got them home and let them settle for the night. I noticed one of them had its eye partially closed (but not swollen) and the feathers around the eye looked they they had gotten wet at one time...
Thank you....yes it does help. This morning before I left for work the egg had an external pip. So excited...cant wait to get back home and see how the little one did.

This time we have given our little silkie a chance and we put 6 eggs (different breeds)...
Thank you. It was never our intention to have a rooster and I really don't want one. We purchased 2 hatchling silkies (and 3 standard breeds) that were sexed as females, one turned out to be a male. We have had him for about a year now....and were hoping that he would come-around and chill out...
We have a silkie rooster that is very nice to myself, my daughter, and my husband, but is constantly challenging my 5 year old son. My son loves our chickens and hand feeds them treats and even holds them frequently. However, since the rooster it about 7 months old he jumps up and scratches my...
Does anyone know how I can get a positive ID on it? I was hoping it was a toulouse gosling.....but it is so hard to tell. We would like to have it as a pet if it is not a protected bird. Also, does anyone know how the law works. If we do not clip its wings or stop it from flying off the...
Yes, I have reached out to a few places to see if I can get a ID. I am aware we cant keep a bird protected under the MBTA without a permit....so I am hoping it is not that species or we will have to take him in.
