Update So my husband and I have been really observant the past few days, and the other hens weren't laying in the box. They were just sitting for MamaDukes & Queen to get up and walk around(they found another box to lay in). As for the eggs and the 2 hens in 1 box...we have seen 3 babies(so far)...

We havent tried splitting the 2 hens, ill suggest that to my husband. As for collecting the new eggs..nope. they wont let me. Even when they get up for their little stretching/walking around, if i enter the coop they will rush back to the nest && cover the eggs...

This is what my husband and I put together for our 2 small chickens(Bonnie & Clyde). Didnt wanna mix them up with the mixed breeds. A couple palets, some wire fencing, and an old truck cab as a roof. They seem to enjoy it!!

I got 5 eggs from 8 hens...but i believe only 4/8 ate laying.
