I just hatched an egg from my black Austalorp the only rooster we have is a black Austalorp. The chick is one day old, but is black on it's head, back, and wings. And white just under it's eyes on the ends of its wings, and its entire underbelly. How can this be???
I am 90% sure the temp and humidity are correct. But the question was when do the chicks start to pip and will I be able to hear them through the Styrofoam?
Good Morning, I am new to this adventure. I have a Styrofoam incubator my humidity and temp are stable. I have had my eggs in for 20 days now, but when do the chicks start to pip, and should I hear them through the Styrofoam?
