I got 15 "sexed pullets" recently and all but 5 had read leakage on the wings slowly 10 roosters started mating and cock a doodle doing slowly they are making it to the pot. 10 roosters 5 pullets.... Red leakage=male trait... Sorry, at least it's not 10 out of 15 like mine!
Got 3 Barred Rocks that were hatched May 24th so just over 6weeks old. They are my first barred rocks so I'm trying to figure out sexing, they were sold as week old pullets but one has grown VERY fast but is darker but has thicker legs... One is very light but the smallest of the 3. Anyways...
If it has a built in gauge I believe it could still have either a wet or dry bulb. If it was a wet bulb I understand that there should we a "wick" that gets wet.... I bought a cheap incubator off eBay that has a dry bulb (it is mounted on the lid of the incubator) I also bought a separate...
The combs on both our birds are very similar and mine was pale pink until this week! I can see a difference in yours tail feathers tho, mine has not started to come in as much and "he" is 14-15 weeks, no crowing or anything either... And I had never heard of the red leakage so that's what drew...
I had a pullet look very similar to yours with curled tail feathers around the same age and slowly she lost the curled feathers! Hope yours is the same way!
