I pick mine one hen up all the time. At first my rooster didn’t like it. He would make a fuss. He then realized I wasn’t stealing her and now he is ok with it. He knows I will return her.

I feed them their later feed but they love their clover when they are out in the lawn but I give them lettuce and watermelon and all that kind of stuff. It always goes back to their main diet is still the feed. It balances them for sure.

My other problem is they are in medicated feed and I don’t want my laying hen ( yes I only have one right now 2 more anytime now) to eat that feed.
