I have 11 4 week old sex links. Black and red. They have been in the coop separated with a gate( the more mature can see them) for about 2 weeks.

When do people introduce the young ones physically to the flock? The last set I did it at about 8 weeks and there really has t been a problem since. This is my set up right now.

When brooded in the type of setup that you have where they are living with the mature birds just separated physically, early integration actually works better than later integration. I brood in the coop and begin integration at 3 weeks, my chicks are fully integrated by 4 weeks. There are several discussions on this here on BYC here are some links.....

Thanks. They were in the house for the first two weeks then I moved them in there after that. I am not worried about my rooster. It is a couple of my hen/pullets. They can be a bit bullyish.

My other problem is they are in medicated feed and I don’t want my laying hen ( yes I only have one right now 2 more anytime now) to eat that feed.
