Definitely not a Dutch. The Dutch have white earlobes and this also is not a traditional light brown Dutch color. I still think based on the size, probably an American Game bantam (BB Red color).
At 13 weeks, you should be able to see the copper coloring coming in if you had a male. Definitely marked as a pullet. However, even for a pullet I would expect to see some copper markings at this point. Could possibly just be a solid black Maran.
It has the coloring of a Silver Phoenix. Again, pretty hard to tell with the description the hatchery gave you. Maybe take a few pictures in a couple of weeks and post them, and the community will be better able to help.
@amytomaz I would weigh in that both look like cockerel to me. I don't know how proven the theory is, but when I've seen more of a barring pattern in the primary wing feathers and then see red coming in, those have always been cockerels in my cases. Could be different here, but based on the...
Very hard to tell just by the color patterns. Based on the fact that it has muffs, my initial guess would be an Easter Egger. Was it purchased at a feed store? Local seller? Any extra information may help identify it.
Some people don't mind mixed breeds if they just want to have a few laying hens around. But @drumstick diva is right, there are a lot of people that actively avoid them. It really does depend on your area. And I, too, have experienced lots of cheap people that don't want to pay anything (and...
Left is probably some sort of a black sexlink, but it could have some EE in that mix.
Right is a silver laced Wyandotte. Neither are going to be exhibition birds, but are probably ideal if you're interested in egg layers. :)
Based on the black in the legs, should still be a pullet. At 14 weeks if this was a cockerel I would likely see more saddle and hackle feathering, and the males are also a bit lighter in color. She also does not have the thinner, tighter barring pattern that you typically see in a male. I think...
Not pure silkies (you'll note the top bird has the proper comb, the bottom bird has a single comb which is not silkie) but ok for feed store birds. The bird on the bottom is a male, I would guess. Look specifically around the neck feathers--you will see longer, pointed feathers (I will put an...
Yep, Pepper is a young cockerel. The coloring of the BB Red is entirely different on the females. Hopefully you are in a place where you can keep Pepper!
Looks like there are three roosters.
The EE that is darker should be a roo based on that color pattern. Also appears to be developing larger comb, and sickle feathers in the tail area.
Absolutely sure of two:
Right now, it looks more like it is a Dark Brahma crossed to an Easter Egger. The head coloring looks predominantly EE to me. The wing coloring could be an EE color as well, but I do see the feathers on the feet. My best guess is this is an EE and is just one of their many crosses (Brahma x EE)...
