It's a forced air incubator, kept the humidity around 45-50 percent with a temp of 99.6. I actually just had the first pip! How long until she gets out?
Hey there, I have a batch of 20 good, fertile eggs that have been candled and we're alive as of day 14. It's now 18 and no hatches! How long should I give them?? They are coturnix btw
Hey everybody, this is my first time attempting to hatch out some chicken eggs. We are on day nine and I just couldn't stand it anymore so I candles them. Is the following a quitter?
Hey everybody, I live in Florida and we have been having insane humidity fluctuations. Started incubating around 55%, which was hard to keep because of how dry it was, and now just ten days later we've had so much rain we have 100% outside humidity and 60% in the incubator. Is there any chance...
Hey there! I was supposed to get a silver laced wyondette and a speckled Sussex, but I'm not sure exactly what the second chick really is. I definitely have a silver wyondette, but I'm not sure whether the second brown colored one is a. Sussex or blue laces red wyondette.

Hi BYC! I will be candling some chicken eggs later tonight, and I am a total novice when it comes to incubation. So, when I saw no other thread about candling, I figured I'd start one. Mine are on day 7, what should I be looking for?
Ok, so anybody who's been following my crazy saga has seen me go back and forth on what these two little decile are. However, I think I've nailed down what the orange yellowish one is. Is it a buff Orpington??
Yes! The buff colored one definitely has some muff or beard growing, which is perplexing considering I had no idea there was any Aracauna or Easter egged color pattern like this. I will definitely post more pictures as the grow, I have been every two weeks so far.
If you couldn't tell, this is my biggest hatch ever by FAR. The only other attempt was 4 quail eggs in a little giant still air incubator, which miserably failed. Just got this new generic fully automated 56 egg incubator off the interwebs, and filled 43 egg cups! So, seeing as I've never done...
