FREE YOUNG ROOSTERS
I'm northeast of Lexington. On May 6-7 I hatched 27 eggs and ended up with approximately 20 cockerels. They're all nice friendly boys. All but one are olive eggers, a combination of Welsummer (mine are very dark eggs), true Ameraucana and Cream Legbar. One is 3/4 Delaware...
On May 6-7 I hatched 27 eggs and ended up with approximately 20 cockerels. They're all nice friendly boys. All but one are olive eggers, a combination of Welsummer (very dark eggs), true Ameraucana and Cream Legbar. One is 3/4 Delaware and 1/4 Welsummer, he looks like a Delaware to me and will...
Update after hatching 5 Welsummer x Cream Legbar chicks. 4 were roosters of course, that's how it goes! They looked like legbars and had huge combs, I gave them away at 6 wks. The remaining pullet I put in with my full Welsummer pullets. I should've marked her because all of them look alike, I...
I gave the two roosters away at six weeks and took a few pics of them. I'll upload them soon! And of course I kept the three girls, I'll try to take pics today. They're almost 8 wks old. One is very red, one is half red half partridge and one is mostly partridge like the Welsummers. Interesting...
They sell for $399 new including shipping in the USA, if anyone's still looking. I used one for the Easter hatchalong and got a 100% hatch!
Much nicer than Brinsea imo.

Yes EE. If their combs are still yellow at this age they are most likely pullets, if they're pink or turning red they are cockerels. From my experience...
Not a good incubator for hatching dark brown eggs which need lower than usual humidity. I got almost a zero percent hatch rate on dark eggs with this incubator, switched to another one which displays the humidity rate and got 100% hatch rate.
Here are a few more pictures, today at 9-10 days! I have no idea why they were standing at attention in the first picture but it lets you see the difference in the wing feathers. Please ignore the dusty blinds.
I was happy to see how easily they are sexed! Especially since I couldn't find any pics of this cross online.
I hatched 23 chicks, 5 of them are this cross. I've already got so many roosters, need to sell some so I can't keep these baby boys. Anyone who lives nearby is welcome to them. I'd like...
The plastic is very flimsy. If I were to drop it, I feel like both the top and bottom might crack.
It's impossible to see the water level in the bottom of the tray. You only know it's empty by monitoring the humidity level. Since you cannot see the water, you have to guess at how much to add...
All five hatched! The last one is struggling out the shell. So far I have 3 girls and 1 boy. Not sure on the last since it's wet. The three pullets have lighter chipmunk markings than a Welsummer and are golden brown. The male is a much lighter yellow with faint chipmunk markings. I'll get...
Updated to say that all 23 hatched! Including 10 dark brown Welsummer eggs :)
I have 20 chicks! I only reported putting 20 eggs in my incubator, but the next morning (less than a day later) I added three. Those three are pipping and I hope they're out by this evening! Knock on wood 100% :)
