Thanks for your response! I actually ended up filling my incubator a couple days ago with Dewlap Toulouse eggs, so no room for CP eggs this year. I've been wanting to get CP geese for years now (prefer to hatch our own), and it never fails that I get caught up with spring farm projects and...
Anyone sell & ship Cotton Patch Goose hatching eggs? Or know of anyone else who does? In central AL, and could pick them up if close by, but not able to drive more than an hour or so at this time
*TIME SENSITIVE*
Extra hatching eggs came with our recent eBay order, we would like to sell them to someone who has room in their incubator so that they don't go to waste.
We have a total of 18 extra Australorp hatching eggs. They were laid on October 9, so they don't have much time left...

Did you ever get a hold of some quality Salmon Faverolles? My wife and I are in central Alabama, just south of Birmingham, and we are very interested in breeding SFs. Not finding too many quality breeders though.
We are looking at Double Creek Faverolles birds in Texas, but hoping to find good...
Thank you very much for that offer, I really appreciate it! We still plan on harvesting the ones we have right now, but if in the future we aren’t able to I will keep him (via you) in mind.
I like the idea of harvesting our extra roosters, just have to get the rooster run in order
Well, plan A worked well...for about 3 weeks.
Moved the roosters to the turkey coop, kept them locked up for 1 week to get them attached to their designated roosting area, then began letting them free-range about 2 weeks ago. Didn't wander far from their new coop, until yesterday when they got...
Based upon who he has been choosing to hang around lately, I think he has already decided to make that switch himself! He even sleeps just outside of their coop every night :D
We try not to, but occasionally a chicken will jump the fence to the front pasture (where our less-disciplined GP is) and get cornered.
The first time a chicken got chewed on i panicked and thought they had killed one of my favorite hens, but she perked up after carrying her away from the dogs...
3 out of 4 of our Great Pyrenees (trained as LGD for our goats & sheep) took minimal correction to stop chewing on chickens when we began to introduce them to the flock. The 4th will still chase and chew on chickens if we give her the chance. The other 3 are wonderful with the chickens. Hoping...
Can't figure out how to edit my original post (perhaps It has been too long now to edit it), but update on these birds:
1 lavender Ameraucana, hatched May 14 (looking more and more like a cockerel everyday, hasn't crowed yet though) $10
3 black Ameraucanas, hatched April 14 (1 just started...
What is their flight capability? I'm assuming that as large birds it is limited. Do you think a cock be able to clear a 5' wire fence if he saw a threat he felt was worth attacking on the other side?
