Question, what do the genetics look like that cause a sex linked lighter barring in some NA Malines?

I found info on this site that Dark Brahmas are Di/Di. How would Di/di be expressed on a E/e^b Black bird or a e^b/e^b bird? The real question is how can I select 2nd generation offspring from Dark Brahmas that have or more importantly do not carry Di (or should I even worry about it)?
