This morning when I went out to feed my silkies I noticed this little girl has a split in her beak! I've never experienced this with our barred rocks and I am clueless as to what caused it overnight or how to fix it.
I have two sizzles that ended up with regular silkie feathers. I am thinking one is a rooster and one is a hen. Since they both ended up with smooth feathering will they still pass the gene and risk a curly if they end up breeding?
I have 5 silkie babies that I need help sexing. They are around 10 weeks old.
Thanks in advance for any help!
