    large lump on 7 week old chest?

    As I was putting up the chicks tonight I noticed on the right side of the breast was alot bigger than the left side. It is very notice-able should I be worried, what might it be???/??? Martin

    Pro's and con's on using sawdust in nesting box?????

    Hi all! I was wondering about using sawdust in my nesting boxes instead of pine shaving or straw? Yes I have a good supply of saw dust I run a nick-nack wood shop in my garage( more of a hobby than anything!) Would it also be be good for under the roost? I would like to just be able to scrape it...

    Sand as grit?

    Hi all, New to BYC and to chickens! I want to start giving my chicks some treats. So I thought I would put some sand on a plastic coffee lid and let them pick at to get grit. I think they are about 4-5 weeks old now. Thanks Martin
