Help me build an incubator from an old mini-fridge! (Ventilation, light bulbs position etc.)

Hello again! I'm surprised I didn't get much help on this, but anyway I tried my best to build my incubator and I must say it turned out to be a success story. Out of 50 eggs, 36 of them hatched (72% hatch rate). Here is a picture of my cute little chicks: Now, I want to help others if they...

Help me build an incubator from an old mini-fridge! (Ventilation, light bulbs position etc.)

Hello! I'm planning on bulding an incubator from an old fridge, but I have some questions before I begin and I thought this would be the best place to ask! So, this is the fridge: The dimensions are: (19" Width x 15.75" Depth x 12.6" Height) or (48.26 cm Width x 40 cm Depth x 32 cm Height)...

    What breed are these chickens?

I should've noted that earlier but I didn't think that would help. Thank you for trying to help. I've learned that female chickens are called hens in this forum and I still forgot it now lol. Thank you

    What breed are these chickens?

I will try to take better pictures tomorrow. I recently bought them from someone and I don't know where did they come from! As far as I can see they are definitely a mixed breed, but I'm really interested of knowing what breed combo is this. They make a lot of eggs even though it's still cold...

Where should I place my thermometer probe if the heat source is coming from the bottom of the incubator?

Should I leave some open space under the probe so the air goes directly to the probe, or I can leave the prope right on top of the egg? Thank you for replying!

Where should I place my thermometer probe if the heat source is coming from the bottom of the incubator?

Hello! After my first attempt of hatching in my homemade incubator was not so succesful (20.51% hatch rate), I've made some small changes on my incubator, but I have some questions so I can have better hatch rate. I have two light bulbs on the bottom of the incubator and I've added some cover...

    Temperature varies from 36 °C (96.8 °F) to 39 °C (102.2 °F) in my homemade incubator! Will I have a good hatch?

UPDATE: 8 chicks hatched and they are so cute! 1 chick that made a pip on the 20th day, unfortunately died inside the egg. It's day 22 and I still have a little hope for more hatches!

    Temperature varies from 36 °C (96.8 °F) to 39 °C (102.2 °F) in my homemade incubator! Will I have a good hatch?

Thank you! I'm hoping for at least 10-15 baby chicks, because 20 or more eggs didn't have signs of development when I candled them on day 18 (they were all on the hot zone). An update: 2 chicks hatched, 3 more pips. I will definitely try that and I will test the temperature out before putting...

    Temperature varies from 36 °C (96.8 °F) to 39 °C (102.2 °F) in my homemade incubator! Will I have a good hatch?

Thank you! I'm using W3230. It is not accurate but I'm also using another thermometer, which I think is more accurate! Actually, the problem was high temperature. But, I think it is because I had one 200 Watt light bulb and one 100 Watt light bulb. I think that is so much heat. On the next...
