    Animal scat identification

I appreciate the reply. Its definitely too small to be a coyote. It was no more than 2 or 2 and a half inches long or so. That was for both of them. My chickens are free ranged at the moment. I had a mink wipe out my flock a year and a half ago due to the coop (was an old shed of some kind. We...

    Animal scat identification

I went out this morning to let my girls out and found this scat by the coop. I live in Central Indiana. Can anyone help identify? They might even be from different critters. There is chicken poop for scale on size. Thanks!

    Genders??

I purchased these as pullets from Rural King around 10 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I already ended up with 3 cockerals that were out of the pullet bin already 🤦🏼‍♀️. Do any of these ameraucanas look like cockerels, too?? I sure hope not 😅😳

    Cockeral??

Im assuming this cream legbar is a cockeral... about 9 to 10 wks old, not crowing yet. But the coloring and comb is leading me to think roo. Just need opinions! (Wouldnt sit very still for photo shoot lol)

    Hen of Rooster

Their combs and wattles are pretty red for 8 week old birds, with that I would say they are cockerels on that alone. The feathers on the first and last picture are screaming cockerel. Not sure where they were bought, but if the breeding wasn't 100% it's common for cockerels not to have the...

    Sick hen?

We just had left over corn on the cob from dinner that day. She is still eating and drinking very well. I gave her some vitamins as well. Her comb is still red, not dark red, and not pale. I felt her today to see if she was egg bound, and there was nothing there. She is more off balance today...

    Sick hen?

Im not sure if she has laid. I know she doesnt lay every day, but i also have 23 hens. I have not checked her vent. I have vitamins i can give to her. No new hens. I think both legs were weak, walking flat footed, no curled toes or walking on hocks. I didnt notice her drinking, but she was eating.

    Sick hen?

If it is Marek's, that has the potential to wipe out my flock? Ugh.. I'll see about getting vitamins for her just in case

    Sick hen?

No yellow stuff. I have her separated from the rest of the flock for now. She seems to cross her legs when walking. And then she just sits like the photo attached. She is up and moving around, pecking at things, but holding herself close to the ground.

    Sick hen?

I have a hen that seems off balance when she is standing and walking. She is walking slightly hunched over as well. I gave them some corn and she went after it like normal, but just side stepping to catch herself. Im not 100% how old she is because she was given to me. I would say maybe 5 or 6...
