My coturnix quail are 2 weeks old exactly - is it too early to know if they’re male/female? I attached a picture of 3 of them. They look like females because of the speckles on their chest, but I’m assuming their feathers can still change. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

All the other chicks are doing fine still! But so weird because last night before I went to bed they were all perfectly fine and then found one dead this morning.

I will add that I’m feeding them 30% protein game bird crumble

Hi all, I have coturnix quail still in the incubator (they should be moving to their brooder soon). It just dawned on me… do they need grit this early? And if not, when do they need it? Also is there a special kind they need? What works for your quail? Thanks in advance!

Thank you! It’s interesting to see the wide range of humidity percentages that are considered acceptable. It’s very confusing for those of us starting out because it seems like everyone has a different answer when it comes to humidity 😅
