Thanks.
I assumed it couldn't be broken as shes flapping, as i said shes not flapping brilliantly but flapping none the less. Shes also moving the wing when shes plucking and pruning under there.
Will keep an eye on her. Didnt know feather and moulting could have an affect like that
Hope these are helpful. Shes twitching it and moving it every few moments. Shes pruning her feathers including the wing. She keeps on flapping her wings too.
As i said shes eating and drinking. Her feathers are still coming through so dont know if its that?
Thank you.
Yeah she is eating her normal foods and i have given her favourite treat PEAS haha.
As i watch her at this moment she is pruning her feathers on the wing which is slightly hanging.
Can anyone help. My duck (Blaze) wing seems to have dropped. She doesnt appear in any pain. She is eating, drinking, digging doing all her normal things.
She even manages to just about flap both her wings. I am assuming if it were broken she wouldn't be able to do this.
Ive put a picture...
They sit down but he doesnt seem to settle for long. Constantly moving his beak through her feathers and her wings. He paces around alot too. They have been mating but not a lot. He is also every so often chasing her around. He doesnt let her settle. It just seems strange as in all the four...
Hi all,
Wonder if you can help. Have two Khaki Campbells. Male an female. Today my male has been very and overly protective of my female. He chases her around and when she stands still he circles her and when she moves away he chases her.
Is this normal behaviour as i havent come across it...
Hi, i have asked this question before and got some really great answers however ... my female Khaki Campbell duck is every so often running around quacking and honking her feather all bunched up and her neck close to her body.
She has been doing this every so often for a month or so. She doesnt...
Well thats what i was worried about we were the only ones. I never felt she was ill or anything but ive just never seen her act like that before so of course panic sets in.
No no nest at all. She seems fine normally juat fettling around her enclosure, bathing, sleeping eating haha all the usual stuff. Shes never been one to sit on her eggs shes always been happy for me and my partner just to take them. Perhaps shes finally wanting to be a mummy duck haha
Thanks...i too have searched and searched for answers and never got any so finally joined hoping fellow duck owner and lovers may have the answers.
I too doubted she is scared because its happened really out of the blue. How long did your duck do it for? As i say mines done it for a month off...
But im not sure what she would or could be scared of. They are in an enclosed pen. Theyve been there for over a year and she didnt do it before about a month ago.
When she does it he always chases her and tries to mate with her....
Really confusing
Hi everyone, new to posting on here. Hope you can help.
I have two Khaki Campbells one male and a female. Both over two and a half years old. This past month my female Blaze has been periodically fluffs up her feathers, lowers her neck into her body and quacks and honks loudly while running...
