Cervical Degloved Wild Goose **Graphic Images***

A lady found a goose in her yard injured. No one would help, no body of water near, no origin. I picked it up and brought it home. Now it is just outside and drinking water. I have my 4 incubator hatched ducks (may 17) in a kennel secured with chicken wire and a top. Is it an option to put...

    Goose "mothering" ducklings???

One of my Susie's showed up with 4 babies about 3 days ago. There have been 2 geese that come and go to our pond, but have recently been staying. I have been watching carefully because of the babies and this morning confirmed, the goose is "mothering" the ducklings. Almost more than the momma...

    Are Black Mallards A "thing"?

This is the last baby that hatched from my 4 eggs that were out in the snow for over a month. It is noticeably smaller than the other 3 and it appears to be black. There aren't any other candidates for baby daddy than the mallards on the pond. So will this guy stay black? Is it an anomaly?

    Is this normal?

I just hatched out 8 mallard ducklings. This one has a funny little yellow tuft of feathers on its head. When hatching the next to last one was bottom up and its head was stuck inside the shell to what appeared to be left over yolk. Could that be why the funny feathers developed or totally...
