My chick is about 5 days old and was doing well. Last night and all day today he has been panting or gasping for air… mouth open and throat moving in and out. Entire body is pulsing… I looked it up and found brooder pneumonia… please help! He doesn’t look good… not sure what to do. Separated him...

I thought that too so I moved the heat lamp and checked the thermometer. It should be fine. The other two chicks are ok.

This chick hatched Friday and was doing well. Last night I noticed a lot of poop and cleaned area well. It was back again this morning and cleared again. She is panting and her little body is like pulsing. Vent area seems to be contracting. What is this?

Could anyone take a guess on the breed? Could it be a Barred Rock cockerel?
