Hi again, as some of you may not know, we took in button quail from a bad situation. They seemed to be doing well, females laying eggs, etc.
Yesturday, 1 female started falling forward and now she falls sideways. She can not stand at all.

The “males” we have fight until there is blood. I would love to be able to keep them all together but we have had to separate for their own safety. Currently we had then in a 4x2x2 until we can get them into a cohesive group

they are making male noises and calls, and they are both mounting females when put in the same area. The brown one has rust colored vent feathers
That is interesting, everyone we have spoken to says otherwise. It is s such a mixed bag of what is best for them. Do you have button quail, has this worked for you? Is there any downside?
We are unsure of age, we took them from a bad situation, I can say minimum 8 weeks old based on the about of time we have as them. Here are photos of thev2 acting like males.
Set up is 4 x 2 x 2
The 2 acting lake makes have been separated.
We had a make and female, we got 2 additional females to make the situation better for them. Original female is acting like a make now and her and original make are fighting,

They are both making make calls from their...

I am new to this by had the exact same thing in one we took in, he had a slow blockage (ingested something he could not digest prior to us taking him in) and it slowly stopped him from eating and passing poop. Unsure if it helps, we just had this last week. Hope your little one gets better
We took in a couple quail from a hoarding situation, they have a clean bill of health from the vet and we need to find them a flock to join or we need a couple more females to even out the ratio. We know nothing at all about birds of any kind. Any and all advice is appreciated.
