I have 4… 8-9 month old silkies with scaly leg mites and I can’t find the proper dosage for ivermectin pour on anywhere. I posted on Facebook and one person commented and said a few drops per bird. Is this correct? I don’t want to overdose my chickens.
I got them all out quickly. The humidity dropped for a second then went back up. All the eggs are finally hatched. Now I’m just trying to figure out what to do about the baby with the bleeding belly. I think it’s an umbilical cord hernia
I’m have several chicks that have already hatch but one that just hatch has blood coming from it umbilical cord and the dried chicks are pecking at it!! How do I remove the dried chicks without losing a ton of humidity. I have one left that’s still pipping.
What about these two? I’m guessing the black one is a golden sebright but not sure at all about the chipmunk aka Pecker (all she does is peck on the other chicks all day)
I recently got some chicks out of the bantam bin
At TSC. Pretty sure I’ve figured out the breed on all the chicks except this one. Can anyone help me identify this chick? It has feathered feet and toes.

I got some 6 month old silkies from a friend about a month ago. A couple of weeks ago. I noticed that one of them has been wheezing. Pretty bad. I wasn’t sure what was wrong with him so I have been giving him vetRX every few days. I’ve also given him. ACV, garlic water, hydro hen. I spoke to...
I have tried the Q-tip, wet baby wipes, soaking their vents in a cup of warm water and I still can’t get all of the crust off around their vents. Once I’m done getting as much of it as I possibly can off, I alternate between olive oil and Vaseline. I do need to trim some of the hair off because...
They are on starter grower chick feed. The brooder is a large dog cage. The heat lamp stays between 95-100 but I am using a heat emitter so it’s only in one corner and they have plenty of room to move away from the heat.
I have 5 silkies chicks that I bought from Rural King last Friday. I’m guessing they were a few days old when I’ve purchased them. Anyways, they have all had pasty butt nearly every day. It’s not super bad, but I’ve been having to clean their little butts twice a day. Some of them have crushed...
