Aww...
I thought there would be more....
South America?
India?
Australia?
German?
Different parts of Africa?
And other animals, too...
Come on now!:pop
I've had a few interesting conversations with friends from other countries about how to say the noise different animals make.
For instance in America we might say a chicken says "bock-bock" and "cluck-cluck" and a rooster says "cock-a-doodle-do."
Now...
If you were from France, then a rooster...
Unless you want to sell "pure breeds" that is. 👈That was in quotations ;):hmm... Even those have to be "injected" with "fresh" genes in a side project and then introduced back into the main breeding group to keep them flourishing.
If you have clean faced rump-less birds then you have a Colloncas.
I'd say forget the tuft. It carries a lethal gene, sure their cute but....
When breeding Colloncas you never have 100% rump-less. But you don't cull them necessarily.
There just Americaunas.
Also,
please don't feel restricted by a "pure breed" mentality.
Have fun!
Mix things up and just breed back to Americaunas for a few generations.
The APA does not determine ANYTHING that you have to be worried about.
I did a bunch of "back breeding" to jungle-fowl and then back to more...
Don't have any breeding groups at this time...
One day I'll do some digging to find who has eggs...
The genetics are out there.
Chickens are wonderful and the diversity is important to the future of chicken an man alike.
One day we may depend on them for our survival as we once did long ago.

Well I've been away for awhile 'cause there a whole log going on... but not so much in the realm of chickens.
But...
You know how it is: If there's a place for chickens in your heart, then they'll find there way into your coop!

Really, I doubt you'll find much in documentation.
You'll find things about the Improved Quechua that was shown at the world fair in the 1930's possibly. But this stuff is all before the internet and digital documentation. I'm sure you can find stuff in someones filing cabinet somewhere. And...
