OK, I think I have another Roo...what do you guys think?

This is a 7 week old Silver Laced Wyandotte that looks sneakily like a little boy. He also acts like a boy...frenetic and not cuddly at all. He was also facing off with the other little roo that you guys helped me "diagnose" a couple of weeks ago. OK, tell me what you think! Thanks, Melissa

4 week old EE pullet with long upper beak

I have a 4 week old EE with a long upper beak that is keeping to herself under the heat lamp and doesn't squawk much when held and just generally is not as energetic as the other chicks. I have not noticed her eating or drinking lately but I also work full time so I can't say I'm constantly...

At what point do I give up on an impacted crop

Wilma, my Buff Orpington, started roosting low 3 nights ago. Clearly, I'm stupid, because I didn't think much of it. Yesterday (Nov. 1), she didn't get back into the coop so I brought her inside to look at her. She was very docile, unsteady on her feet and didn't seem interested in eating...

I have a Welsummer and 2 buff orpingtons. Buffs started laying in October and my Welsummer, Ginger has not started laying yet. Is this normal? She seems healthy, eats, is more skittish that the Buffs who couldn't be more friendly and all over me! So adorable. I am worried about Ginger...

Hen missing feathers at tail...?more than others picking at her?

I noticed yesterday that my Welsummer hen, Ginger, was missing feathers back at the base of her tail feathers. Is this more than one of the Buff Orpingtons pecking her? I have three hens, two Buffs and GInger. Ginger's sister, Maryanne died suddenly a couple of months ago. I posted a...

I have or had 2 Welsumers and 2 Buff Orpingtons that were doing great. They have been in their coop for about 2 weeks. I live in New Orleans, LA. Everything has been going great. When I went out to check on them this afternoon, one of the Welsumers was dead, face down in the run. No signs...
