They're slow and easy to catch among other things. And very well suited to captive breeding.
My sister, and other reptile people, could go on and on about them, but I'm fuzzy on the details. :)
Dubias are not like regular roaches, but if the chickens are happy to do extermination duty for you then it's win-win on chicken snacks + bug control. :)
