usually the hens don't lose their beards, but since she is lowest on the totem pole, there is a good chance that hers is getting pulled out.

did she have a beard as a chick? Sometimes the beards get pulled out by the other chickens. My hens love to pull out my rooster's beard.

very cute. I agree with your guesses as to sex, hopefully and maybe, BUT they could both be male, one just faster to mature than the other. I can't ever tell for sure until those rooster feathers start coming in. As to color. no help here, sorry.

I think all of the feathers looking so different makes it a very attractive color. Not sure I can label it my absolute favorite though....I like so many of them!
