My bird dogs are chicken safe. They know if they hurt a chicken I will beat the holy bejeasus out of them. That is all it takes to make a bird dog safe around chicken here. Besides it is better sport for them to be better egg hunters than the humans.

LGD's are a double edged sword. Our chicken trust and ignore ours however get a bird on the other side of our fence and the neighbor dogs snatch em fast. The chicken just never expect an attack from that vector.
