Oh, she reminds me of my cat Baby...RIP little girl. Shiva is simply gorgeous! Is she half himalayan/half orange tabby? She has the same orange stripey-but-not-quiteness that Baby had. <3
I can't wait to give the babies their first swim lesson! I have a feeling Milkshake is gonna be a zoomie, she's already a total athlete, hopping and sprinting all over the place. She's the fastest lil' bugger I've ever seen. Total opposite of Wobbles; he can't submerduck to save his life!
Hehe, d'aww. I like my hubby's voice too, he has a nice smooth baritone that still makes me swoon! I wish Wobbles liked him more, when he was a baby Hils didn't spend as much time with him as he should have, and as a result the two of them don't have a bond at all. That's why with these new...
Yup! They've been chipping parrots for about 10 years now, and they began chipping other birds about two years ago. I'm in the process of making Wobs a bandana that reads "I have a microchip, please scan me!" just in case the unthinkable happens and he gets out!
I doubt it's common in most...
I'm really, really hoping...I've got a vet appointment next week to gene test the babies for gender and potential diseases, and if they get the all-clear both she and Wobbles are gonna get microchipped!
Lockdown is this Saturday, and they're due to hatch Monday night/Tuesday morning, if all goes well! But man oh man, is this the most stressful thing any hatcher has to go through...I managed to hatch two call ducks last year, I'm hoping I can get all three out in one piece this year! Please...
Ha, sounds like she's the dominant one, all right! Sounds like you got a real spitfire, just like Wobbles!
And I know what you mean about those lil' nubs. Whenever they try to do the leg/wing stretch, but all they have is that tiny little tuft, but they try to stretch it anyway! And they're...
Really? The ones that live around here are actually quite docile! Even when protecting their babies, I've never seen one get aggressive. Usually they just turn tail and run!
Yeah, but they're smack in the middle of the road! The garbage truck went by and they all moved out of the way, but they looked perplexed, almost betrayed, hehe! "But...but it is so quiet here, how could this road have betrayed us?"
Part of me wonders if one of 'em is Chub-Chub. He'd be having...
I'd say five is good, that's about how long Wobbles would be out when I was trying to clean him off or give him vitamins after he first hatched. But I also had the heater cranked up in my bedroom!
Oh, why can't they stay so adorably clumsy their entire life?
