Those are great! I may look into getting one. I do free feed, too, but I just use the traditional gravity feeders. I take them out every night and put 'em back every morning. My set up just isn't great right now. Something like this would definitely help!
Gotta think of a better system for the...
That is interesting about the glyphosate. I could totally see that being a problem if it's in high enough concentration. It's pretty well-known to affect fertilization in roosters.
Unfortunate, really. He could have a great lab, but it's hard to take it seriously after his other postings.
I hope to see the numbers, though. His numbers might be 100% correct.
Ooof. Is that Info Wars behind him? I can't. Not after Sandy Hook.
I have two feed samples coming in this week. Results probably week after next. Sorry it's taking so long. I just couldn't find feed samples that folks thought were suspect in my area. I could find no one complaining of laying...
I got 10 eggs from 11 layers today, and since one of those 11 is broody, my girls are batting 1000. On Dumor. So idk.
If it's a feed issue, must be a specific mill? If that's the case, it's not a national problem (ie it's probably not a plan to make all chickens stop laying).
Yeppers. I still get ignored that out of my 11 laying chickens, I get between 7 and 10 a day feeding Purina and Dumor and Nutrena (whatever is in stock). They've been on Dumor the last month or so.
Not what this article is stating, but I see where you would make that connection.
The chickens would be given a type of COVID vaccine (oversimplifying, of course). The eggs they produce would have antibodies that could be EXTRACTED and put into vaccines for humans.
From the article Abstract:
Conclusions: We demonstrated here that after immunization of chickens with our recombinant S1 protein, IgY neutralizing antibodies were generated against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein S1 subunit; therefore, showing the potential use of IgY to block the entry of this virus.
What??!? The YouTube videos? The blogs? The anecdotal stories? I'm so disappointed. I was hoping my chickens were just better than everyone else's because they are laying just fine on their TSC feed.
