Chick pics. Cream legbar pullet, Araucana (or cross of), two olive eggers, Brahma? (Or cross of) and white Marans. Another olive egg started and then seems to have stopped. No action on the other eggs
@Elliemae1984 since they are all out it's safe open up the lid a bit to remove the shells. It's only an issue when you have remaining eggs still left to hatch
I'm up to 6 chicks. The cream legbar which is looking to be a pullet. 2 olive eggers, a blue egger, white Marans and what I thought was going to be a dark brahma but sure doesn't look it. Olive egg in with the marans is currently zipping slowly on the wrong end.
My eggs are now on lockdown. I'm actually a day late and one of the blues has already internally pipped. I intended to hatch the Marans separate but one of my boys make me add "pickle" the olive egg in with them.
I attempted to candle the eggs. I could see good development in 13 eggs plus there was one that started then quit. many are too hard to see in but it's nice to know some are doing well, especially two eggs the kids have already named
Well this incubator is officially full with 2 dozen on day 2 plus 4 silkies due earlier. my friends returning my other incubators so I'll pop the silkie eggs in the 10 egg one and keep the rest in here until lockdown when I'll split the Marans from the others
I have 2 dozen eggs coming this month for a July hatch. One is a mix dozen of Marans (black copper, cuckoo and white). the second dozen has a mix of what's available at the time of shipping which can be Marans, Cream Legbar, olive/sage/green eggers, Welsummer, Brahma and/or Polish
