remove the eggs as soon as you can will help
also try to leave golf balls in the nesting boxes.. it will help the layers know where to lay plus to train them not to peck at the eggs
if you remove the eggs shortly after laying and leaving only...
i don't remember the exact week # but maybe around 16-17 weeks ??
my family brought the hens home on 4/3/2016.. they are already this old
one of the hens started laying on 7/14/2016 .. the rest of them started laying around 2 weeks or so after i switched over to layer feed

i gave up after trying to train them not to make those really loud noises (not the normal clucking sounds).. but it was no use
letting them out all day is not a good idea either.. now they are eating the plants on the sides of my house...
i don't know a lot about chicken breed.
so beside the leghorn.. the other 4 chickens are dual breeds?
i picked up one of the brown ones.. she's pretty light.. hardly any meat on her
so if they are skinny like the leghorn then they are layers (for eggs chickens) ?

since the other 4 are younger so i keep the laying hen on starter feed as well for another 2+ weeks.
