    Here's the one quilt my mom did for me when I was a teenager...about 35 years ago. I love it! It's been in the closet for awhile as I don't want it used since I will never have another from my mom. I come from a family of 12 kids and 27 grandkids so she got better with each quilt.

    Right! Those who don't quilt don't understand the time you put into it....if you got paid for your time no one would ever be able to afford one. My mother quilted and did beautiful work but mostly for her children and grandchildren.

    I wish I was your relative as I would appreciate it. My mom made each of us 12 kids a quilt plus all the grandkids. I still have mine and I treasure it. She made quillows for my boys which they liked so much they wore them out ...but they still have them. People who don't appreciate the work...

    My mom quilted for years and most was given away to family or friends....I come from a family of 12 children and 29 grandchildren so that's a lot of quilts. She too did beautiful hand stitching like you. I still have my Sun Bonnet Sue quilt she did for me when I was a kid....I will treasure it...
