Oh no! Well, I hope that isn't the case! Did they arrive with colored leg bands? Metzer marked the hens and drake with different colored tape. I'm not sure it would help you at all, but here is what my silver phase drake looks like at 4 week old: He is the duckling furthest to the left with the...

ooohh! Congratulations!! I am sure I speak for everyone when I say we'd like to see pictures! Maybe someone can identify the silver and gold phase for you. I had suspected one of mine was a gold, and another member confirmed that during the firs or second week. She had a pink bill and was quite...

Oh that IS funny! I have to agree, watching them change a little and wondering what they will look like is the best part- but goodness it sure tests my patience! :) I love that the Welsh Harlequins can look a little different from each other. I ordered mine from Metzer and while they state that...

Gosh it is hard to tell isnt it!? I'm NOT a pro by any means but my gold phase female has always looked a little lighter than the other silvers. I was thinking that the lighter beaked one could have been a gold phase, but it almost looks like the other could be one as well!? Is there a...

You seemed to have spelled that out in elementary easy to understand terms... BUT, I've re-read it 10 times and I can't quite make sense of it. I'm sorry! I blame it on Monday morning. Is your drake a Gold, is that how the odds would be 100% hens? Thank you for being patient with me. ;) That...

Oh! Also- thank you for confirming that for me. I'm soo happy to have a gold. I think the silvers are suuper pretty, but I like to have a little diversity, and it will be nice to have a reference of the difference to show people who come and visit. So.. Goldie it is. I'm sure there is nobody...

She is beeaauutiful! Looks like a very devoted mommy! :) I thought there was also gold phased drakes? Or is it due to her specific genetics? I'm still learning up on all of the genetics and outcomes... and it is SO interesting... but oy. It makes my head hurt trying to grasp it all.

Watching their coloring develop has been really neat! Anyhow, here are mine. 1 drake, and 6 hens all WH from...
