Isn’t she? She’s a Cayuga that is gradually turning more and more white.

Here are some of my mixed breed ducks. The black and white is the Cayuga momma. The grey ones are Cayuga/Buffs, the darker tan I believe are Buff/Khakis which all turned out to be drakes. I’m not sure about the dark brown and the grayish tan ones. Any thoughts? Please help me identify my girls...

The ones with the low quack are females. The squeakers/raspy ones are males.

Here are our Welsh/Khaki and Buff/Khaki ducklings. The Welsh ones have the eye stripe! So cool, not even our drake daddy had that.

I assume he’s full Welsh. We got him from the local hatchery that sells by breed. I wonder if ducklings show more markers of the mother than they do of the father. We’ve since found out that the dark brown one from the first clutch is a Welsh/Khaki and the black one is a Welsh/Cayuga...

My Welsh didn’t have the eye stripe when he was a duckling. Here’s a picture of him very young after feathers started coming in. His younger pictures aren’t on my phone.

I had two clutches of duckling with some mixed breeds. I had my Buff girl and snuck two eggs under her that I thought were WH/KC mix, but I’m not so sure given how dark they were. I thought maybe I’d accidentally snuck a WH/Cayuga under her instead, but then my Cayuga hatched out her babies...
