Well they definitely enjoy water for swimming, but they seem to enjoy living on land. Some wild geese spend much more time on land than on water, only entering it to bathe.

Drinking water yes, but geese can live happy lives without swimming water.

Oh okay. Geese are pretty loud, especially Africans. And they like space to move around.

You should get them, I think they have the most personality of any poultry and are really fun to have!

I don't know if it is bad to post on a old thread, but I see that you are anxious to see a african/chinese goose in flight, so here is a video of my young gooses first flight. She can now fly a lot farther and higher, I will post a new video soon.
