I am willing to hear any advice other than my kids advice! :) I have only been able to hatch 1 shipped egg so far! Give me local barnyard mixes and I hatch them all, however send me special eggs through post that I can't find here, and I'll wipe them all out! No problem!!!

Rubynala, Why day of 16 to stop turning? I understand the basics of the chick needing to get into hatching position, however have you noticed a big improvement with shipped eggs if you stop at day 16 vs 18? I am assuming you Don't raise the humidity on day 16 like you do on day 18?

yes, I 2nd what rubynala97 said. I have the octagon, and I just stand them up like they were in cartons. I have managed to fit 28 in there, very snuggly. ( I might add that I only crowd them like that during incubation, not hatching) So are there any signs of life at all?

Gapey, How do the eggs look so far? I am in the same situation with shipped eggs. I chose the opposite as you. I put most of mine in my brinsea(bc I honestly trust it more so than my homade incubator) I am on day 3 and just started to turn the eggs.
