You can buy them in quantities of 25. I only say 8 fertile, and 3 dead embryos out of 25. It was either the bator I was using, or low fertility due to season. But maybe you'll have better results. Hope...
So far, 5 quail have hatched. So I don't have to worry about 1 being so lonely. And I guess eggs are more resilient than we might think they are. Hatching these eggs has really been a learning experience for me This was my 1st time ever, but I'm sort of happy by the results. Think I can see why...
So far, only 1 quail has hatched. Boy that thing is looking lonely. He's trying to sit under the chicks for warmth, but they dont always play that way. Wonder if they see him as more of an annoyance.
As an update to the Button Quails , I guess, they're alive after all. I pulled one out out of curiousity and opened it up. To my dismay, there was a living chick in there. So if anyone actually reads this, and you're in doubt as to whether or not your eggs are growing....Leave them in the bator...

Hatching Buff Orpingtons. Hopefully they resist the urge to completely hatch intil I get home. I'd like to see the eggs hatch through the picture window
