I ask about the wattles because I know there is a connection to fertility linked to the condition of the comb. I wonder if the lack of big strong wattles might mean he is not very fertile if at all??? He is a nice boy, very gentle and he gets bossed around by Domino, the roo he shares the pen...

They are really pretty babies. Watching them grow and change colors is extremely joyful to me, I know you are going to gets lots of pleasure from these.

Thanks for the reply, I liked the dark one best from the very beginning, besides he is so super sweet and gentle. Neglected to look at the wings close, sometimes a picture helps a lot when studying a bird. I appreciate you pointing that out to me. They are just pets and I enjoy looking at them...

Here is another young roo the same age as Domino, if you had to choose between them which would you use? As with Domino this guy keeps getting more and more color, I can't decide which I like the best, but more important which is the best one for hoping to get Calico chicks?

Do you use Mottled Cochins in the MF / Calico program? And when/why?

They are lovely! I sure do like them! But you can see what I mean I think, your other rooster is a whole different pattern/color. I honestly can't decide which I like the best but probably I like the lighter colored one. Is one preferred over the other as far as you are concerned?
