You'll see a comb on the boys first. There are pics in this thread showing noticeable early comb development in the cockerels. The girls won't develop until almost egg laying time. How old is your chick? Do you have a photo?

I taught Moonshine to fly onto my arm after seeing Faraday's daughter's video. She doesn't like to be held, either, but will do almost anything else for sunflower seeds. She's my favorite chicken.

wait, 5 pics, which is which? btw, my Sebright hen does crow. She'll be 3 yrs old this year. When she has been locked in the broody jail, and hears the rooster, she'll crow just like one in response. If I show up w the camera, she clams up.

Sebright cockerels/roosters being hen feathered, may be harder to differentiate. You'd have a more visible comb...is it really crowing? Have any pics?

Well, I don't know what to say then. If they aren't hiding nests, you should have found eggs. Keep us updated.....

Wow, so many eggs! Are all these birds pullets? Pullets often lay thru their first winter, but not always. What age(s) are yours? And the experts say it's the length of day rather than how cold/warm. Sebright girls have very small compact combs. My Sebright laid and hatched eggs this...

Ha, they always obey her. Well, if Trouble is raising some Seramas, won't she always be friendly to them? Moonshine has made up her mind that the 2 orphans are evil, and she has taught this to her chicks, even tho one of these evil ones is their biological sibling. They are NOT allowed to...

I just love this video! How old is your daughter now? How is Trouble doing with all those chicks? What age does she decide they're big enuf to stop mothering them? Ours are 5 weeks now, Moonshine still dotes on them, and they are all obedient large children.

They are full grown.... Sebrights are so full of personality. I taught Moonshine to fly up onto my arm---like a falcon. I got the idea from @Faraday40 who made a video of her daughter teaching Trouble....

It's just not a quality photo. The rooster's face is not in focus, but he's very handsome. If you have a good camera and use it properly, and you have an editing app, you can make your photos look vibrant.
