The whitings have a sorta extended pea comb, I wonder how that will look when crossed to a single comb marans. Probably stay like the extended pea comb right?
Out of my 9 whitings, there’s 4 or 5 that are very friendly and always underfoot, and then there’s 2 that I have a hell of time trying to put back in the coop. If I make a move towards them they explode away.
I was intentionally trying to raise tame birds so I’m glad they are responding well. I read so much about them being flighty so I was curious how they would differ from the marans that I just raised before the WTBs. I made a seperate thread since I started posting more videos…...
I have noticed my whiting true blue chicks are voracious little feeders of chick crumble. They really get excited and pig out at the feeder. I was worried one night because their crops looked abnormally large. Maybe it’s because there is 9 chicks together and they get into a frenzy.
