That's funny to see such a little chick with a big attitude. She doesn't know who she is flogging though, does she ever let you pick her up? That's a good sign from Hector that he's got the heart of a lion to protect his girls.
That girl must've known what day it is. Have you ever had your chickens eat rats? My dad caught a field mouse and gave it to the chickens once and he said they went crazy over it. The rats frequently eat out of their feeder but I wonder if the chickens ever catch them.
Beautiful boys. Maybe they could end up being your rooster tag-team in the future. Poor Piglet, such a sad story. At least he lived a loving life, couldn't have spent it anywhere better.
Cynthia, I just caught up again from last time I was on here. I don't think I'll be caught up in school work anymore for a while. I can't believe I missed the launch of Hectors own thread!!!! He's looking good from the pictures you posted! I'll be reading his thread as soon as I'm done typing...

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I have two dogs myself but they're still young so I can't imagine what you're going through. Im sure she lived a long happy life with you and your family.
Do you think you could find a home for Apollo if you did indeed decide to sell him? And I know I have no knowledge of breeding but it makes sense to me if you did sell Apollo because you'll have six of his babies. By playing the odds you most likely will have at least one of his sons.
Sorry if I worded everything in a confusing way but that answers my question. I wanted to know if there was a feed you could give chicks and laying hens that wasn't medicated. Do you know if All Flock is sold around the country or just at your local feed store?
I have a question pertaining to your feed and brooding chicks. I know that Purina advertises that you need their three types of feed, one when their chicks, one in between the chick age and egg laying age and the other when they're laying eggs. Some people have said that if laying hens eat feed...
