    Let a broody have 6, got 3 males and 1 female(who just started laying a couple week ago). Gave away 2 of the males, fed the fox the 3rd. Just wasn't up to the processing.

    I didn't slaughter any birds this year, first time in 6 years. Sure didn't miss the work, but sure wish I had a few carcasses in the freezer.

    I guess you could examine birds before even killing them to look for pin feathers. Tho I did not do this and it was only after trying to get the pins out that I skinned during parting out.

    Skinning. Not sure rubbing them with anything would get them out without damaging the skin, they are in there pretty tight. Timing is tough to avoid pins.

    Wetting the bird might be good keep those fluffy feathers from flying all over. Do you remove the wings at the shoulder or.....?
