I checked this thread and the amount of selenium is not mentioned. I asked about how much a small chick can have because I think it's very easy to OD them on it, so whatever you do, it's probably wise not to try to give it part of a selenium pill. This is the only link I have found that...

The two I was able to fix I did by putting them in a sling with their legs hobbled. It's been my experience that once the hock joint gets too swollen they won't heal. Kathy

If you hobble his legs does it stay in place? -Kathy
