    Those were Purina Lay Powder, um I mean Lay Pellets, lol. All fed stores around me that carry Purina get their stock from the Turlock mill, so I can't verify that, though anyone else that has purchased non-Turlock Purina Lay pellets could. -Kathy

    The "dust" problem is not a brand problem, it's a problem at the mill. Here in California, the Punina products and TSC house brand feeds come from the Turlock mill, and all of them are mostly powder, so I no longer buy products that come from that mill. -Kathy

    I think the AAAP Disease Manual says that diets in excess of 3% calcium, or diets in excess of 30% protein can cause gout. I also read that diets too low in phosphorus can cause it, but I can't remember where I read that. -Kathy Edited to add: http://www.aaap.info/avian-disease-manual
