My free ranging flock found their way into my compost pile, which consists of kitchen scraps, dirt, and the pine shavings from their coop. They love it. Yuck.

I love them beyond understanding! Lol! Sometimes I'll sit outside and talk to them, and they will actually gather around (probably waiting for a treat), but they seem like they are talking to me too...
Our chickens absolutely love hulled sunflower seeds, that's what I always use to lure them into the run when necessary. It never fails.
They love tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon, fresh greens, DO NOT get between them and fresh corn on the cob!
