    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

I know!! I'm glad she's a hen, too. Although I wasn't getting rid of her if she was a roo because her personality is so agreeable. lol She was so blue at the start, with a red head and stripe, very blue in the legs and throughout the back. It surprised me she turned so white! Anxious to see what...

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

Here is an updated shot of Beatrice, formerly known as Bucky. lol. I was so sure she was a cockerel. No tail until late, very slow feather development, comb was pink from the get go as were the wattles. She was a few weeks when they grew and reddened to the size they are now, but they stopped...

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

Wow!!! I wouldn't want to have to make that choice! IMO, they are all so beautiful and all for different reasons. AND I don't even know their personalities, I'm just going by pictures!! Thank you for this thread, I have learned (reconfirmed) so much just experiencing this with you. Like when...

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

What color is her butt fluff? Not always, but that is usually a good indicator. If it is blue, I would say she will be a dark blue. (Dark blues are my fav. That's why I watch for the clues!! :) )

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

I definitely agree with you. The bottom two are likely pullets, but don't rule out the top one yet. I have a pullet that had the same wattle/comb growth and they were even quite pink, but that was all they grew and haven't grown a lick since! (But I'm with you, I would still suspect a roo...)

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

Oh, and I maintain chick one is a pullet (look at the cool color coming in on her!), but the rest are boys.

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

I think chick 3 is going to be dark blue. I think it will look back until it's true adult colors come in (they change so many times!), but ultimately will be a dark blue. Just my opinion...

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

I say chick one is a roo, two a pullet, three a roo, four a pullet. Really it is too early to tell, but going by combs and wattles alone, that's what I think. lol

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

Look at those meaty legs on three and four, though!!! My guess is 3 is the roo-est of them all, with four coming in second but I can't see comb and wattles. (That dark blue/black on 4 is amazing). One and two just look more pulletish to me, but I am still maintaining you have two if not three...

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

I know my breeder said the more regular the patterning, the more likely a pullet. I can't WAIT to see how they turn out!!! Please update!!

    Blue laced red wyandotte growth!!

Freaking gorgeous!!! Chick 2 is a stunner!!! Can't help ya on the sexing, I'm struggling here myself, although I think mine is a roo. No tail until late. 5 weeks and small wattles are coming in. Slight pink to the comb. But still, I second guess it!!! :))))
