    My blue female from Holderreads is so dark that I would call her gray. I was told that there is a lot of variation in the color blue and breeding her to blue would be fine. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? You can see them in the photo in post #369. The female is on the right with wings...

    You can start with 2 as long as you get a fertile pair.

    First 2 eggs showed up this morning. They are on the smaller side, but the girls won't be a year old until the middle of May. I'm in northern KY. So those of you further north should be getting eggs soon.

    No breeding here yet with the geese, but the ganders and fighting with each other and trying to prevent any mating between the ducks.

    Here you can see (l to r) lavender american, blue american, embden, lavender american, embden, and blue american (I think is a grey).

    You're not looking close enough. I have a pair of lavender that are the most beautiful soft lavender. Also have a pair of blue. The male looks blue, but the female looks grey like the grey color of a pilgrim female. These came from Holderreads. I would guess she came from blue x blue breeding. I...

    I have a blue goose that is dark (more grey than blue).To improve color should she be paired with a blue or lavnder ice gander. I have both and like their respective colors.

    I have a pair of blue and a pair of lavender. Does anyone have information about breeding related to color? Do they breed true? Is color sex linked? Would like to pair them up so the best 2 are toghther, but will keep colors together is mixing the colors shouldn't be done. Will post pictures...
