I had read that gelatin can be added to thicken it up. Mine was not very thick either, but i think it would be good either way. I think it just tastes better because you know you made it and your proud of yourself
I did not want to mention this until i knew it turned out ok, but i made my yogurt with lactaid milk. Then i had some strawberry extract from making homemade frosting for my christmas cookies, so i tried that and it was really good. (starting to sound like martha stewart)
Well......i really did it. I made it this AM and i tried it tonight. I tried it first with no sugar, but i think its like drinking black coffee. I added just a little sugar and it was WAY better. I still cannot believe i even made it. Also my DH and my mom are checkin' my forehead
What i think...
Ok Miss Ozark...you have convinced me!!! I will be home tomorrow most all day.......i will read the post again and see if i can get to the store today and buy up some stuff. I just re-read the post and it sound odd. Like why a cooler heated and why a jar of water? What is all that about?
......i said what i said because i work 6 days a week and i just think of time more than anything else. Between prep time and clean up time I envy you all for finding ways to fit it in really. I might have to give up my BYC time to make yogurt........ Maybe in the winter, i tend to get bored...
