I was able to hang a liitle container on the side, and humidity is at 33% - 34% now :)

Ok... well the problem with adding another tray, is that the tray that turns the eggs has to slide back and forth and there isn't enough space, important to add we have had successful hatches with this incubator...but I moved it from my parents house to mine, where I think we have less humidity...

This is my set up...water tray is under with an opening at the front...

It is a homemade incubator, there is a large tray in the bottom with water, but with only that my humidity is only in the high teens and 20s, so I have been using a washcloth to keep it up... I think it is drying because I have a fan in there (a computer fan) but on lockdown I will take it out...

I would say its averaging around 35%, hard to keep consistent, it sometimes drops to the high 20s, but when I first add a wet washcloth it starts at about 44... quickly drops though.

So how is this looking for day 10, I feel like the air cell looks a bit small? So I need to decrease humidity?? The line shown slightly above the air cell is day 6.

It was on the first page of this thread, several people saying they hatch at 45-50%...

I had read 50% somewhere on a thread and freaked out when I put the new hydrometer in, but now I am trying to keep it at 35-45% its sitting at 42% right now, it had been 30% up until yesterday I am nervous to keep it too dry because I just had 4 with dry membranes on my first hatch. Only 1 made...

oh and I just bought a new accu-rite hydrometer...

Ho do ya'all know if your hydrometer is accurate? We live in the east and are running heat right now so I guess its dry in here, I have a wet washcloth a pan of water, and a humidifier situated in front of our homemade incubator, and I am still having to spray inside the incubator to get the...
